Meno-purpose was created in 2023, the year I had a hysterectomy. 

After suffering with gynae issues for a number of years and being dismissed and gaslighted by medical professionals, I was told I needed a hysterectomy at the age of 36. 

My consultant wasn't sure if I would need my ovaries removing during the surgery and I was advised that I may go into surgical menopause,

 (I kept my ovaries so that didn't happen). Before surgery I wanted to know my options and researched as much as I could. Although my ovaries were preserved, it took a while for them to wake up, approximately 6 months and I went through similar symptoms to menopause. This is when I decided to learn more and complete a menopause wellness diploma. 

I am also a counsellor, spiritual life coach and reiki practitioner. I knew I wanted to combine my skills and personal experiences and empower and support other women through their perimenopausal and menopause journey, Meno - purpose was born! 

My aim is to help women feel supported, empowered and informed using holistic therapy.
